Elegant Bone Box with a Faceted Sapphire Crystal Hinged with Beveled Edges, Lined in Black Felt,...

Simplicity in design, this Jo Marz bone box has

been handcrafted by carefully shaping and piecing

together sections of ox bone reclaimed from oxen

raised as a food source. After gluing the pieces

together they are smoothed and the edges are

sanded and rounded. Prior to bone reclamation for

the creation of handcrafted items, the bones were

discarded and served no purpose. This square

shaped box is hand decorated in our JMT studio

with antiqued solid brass silver and gold designs.

Accenting the center is a large sapphire faceted

crystal. This box has a beautiful scnmshaw pattern

with faint pink flowers that outline the sides and top

of the box. This is a hallmarked "First Edition" by

Jo Marz.
